Our Vision

Where Belonging Begins and Futures Take Flight

About

Our vision is to be a leading provider of innovative, child-centred early education in Australia

where every child is empowered to grow with
confidence, creativity, and a deep sense of belonging.

We aim to nurture a generation of emotionally secure, socially aware, and future-ready learners who begin their journey in an environment grounded in trust, inspiration, and genuine connection.

Our
Mission

Nurturing Tomorrow’s Leader Today

We create spaces where childhood is cherished and learning unfolds gently through play, curiosity, and connection.
Together with families, we nurture hearts that are kind, minds that are curious, and spirits that feel deeply connected to the world around them.

Our
Commitment

The Heart That Guides Our Practice

To see, hear, value, and cherish every child —               celebrating who they are and who they are becoming.

To build relationships before routines — and to recognise connection itself as part of the curriculum.

To create environments that whisper possibility and honour the essence of childhood.

To keep learning, reflecting, and evolving — always striving to live our philosophy with integrity and heart.

One Vision, Many Hearts...

Our Philosophy

Seeing the Child

At Start Smart Early Education, we believe every child is a powerful, capable, and curious learner — born with an innate desire to connect, explore, and make meaning of their world. Each child arrives as a unique individual, and it is our honour to listen, cherish, and celebrate them, holding space for who they are in every moment.

We see each child as a co-researcher in their learning – a thinker, creator, and contributor with a voice that matters. Our role is to respond with authenticity and create environments that whisper possibility, places of beauty, warmth, and wonder where children feel deeply known and safe to be themselves.

Environments That Invite Wonder

Our environments act as living invitations, evolving with children’s interests, imagination, and hundred languages. Quality, to us, is not a checklist, it’s the heart that beats in every connection. It’s the softness of a morning greeting, the thought behind a provocation, and the care woven through each interaction.

It’s the respect that flows between educator, child, and family – each one an essential thread in the tapestry of our community.

Intentional Practice And Wellbeing

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, our practice is informed by research and shaped by reflection, theory, and heart, always evolving in response to children, families, and community. We know these early years leave a lasting imprint, shaping how children see themselves, others, and their world. This is why we approach each day with intention and unwavering commitment.

We nurture wellbeing through gentle rhythms, mindful moments, and care that supports emotional security and self-regulation. We believe in slowing down, noticing the details, and finding beauty in the small moments, the laughter, the wonder, and the joy that make childhood extraordinary.

Community, Country And Belonging

We see families as our most valued partners, the first and most influential teachers in a child’s life. Together, we build trust, share stories, and celebrate milestones that strengthen each child’s sense of belonging and connection to community.

We are guided by the deep gratitude the First Nations people hold for this land. We honour the thousands of years of care and wisdom shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, whose connection to land, sky, and sea continues today. We walk respectfully in partnership, teaching children to care for Country and to preserve its beauty for future generations to inherit.

Every child who walks through our doors deserves to feel seen, heard, and celebrated. We aim to create spaces that capture the essence of childhood, where laughter echoes, imagination flourishes, and every child feels deeply rooted in a sense of belonging.
